Donald Sterling banned from the league for life and fined Sterling $2.5 million

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced Tuesday that Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling would be banned from the league for life and fined Sterling $2.5 million. Silver said he would urge league owners to vote to force Sterling to sell the team. The move comes after the weekend revelation of a tape-recorded conversation in which Sterling made racist comments.
