Funkmaster Flex appeared on ESPN2’s Highly Questionable show for an interview in which he discussed a number of topics. From his crush on Kirstie Allen to being a Knicks fan, Funk Flex also shared who had the worst freestyle on his Hot 97 radio show.
“The freestyle that wasn’t very good on my show, it had to be 2 Chainz,” Flex said.“Honestly, I think I caught him off guard. I think he didn’t expect me to ask him to do it. Because I’ve heard him on shows freestyling before so I knew he could handle it. But I think that day, he couldn’t handle it.”
Flex also talked about two Knicks in general: J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony. While he admitted to possibly contributing to Smith’s much talked-about party life, he said
“A lot of people say they wanna win championships, or they want to win in general, any sport, any form of life. Sometimes I don’t see that desire in his eyes; I don’t see it,” he said. “I don’t see the desire in Carmelo Anthony’s eyes. And I hope I’m not offending him, in no way or form. So I’m not one of those people begging him to stay [in New York]. I love him man, I love what he stands for. I don’t think Carmelo Anthony has what it take to be a champion and to win a championship with the Knicks.”
