Jay Electronica Says Kendrick Lamar ‘Didn’t Say Anything’ On ‘Control’

Another artists whose gained some infamy for a healthy Twitter rant, Jay Electronice let his 140-character cannon blow yesterday in a series of apparently drunken tweets. Running the gamut of subjects ranging from artists and journalists he respects, to those he does not, Jay Elect also answered one of his followers inquiries about where his verse stacked up against Kendrick Lamar’s on “Control.” He replied that both he and Big Sean’s verses were better than K. Dot’s:

Following up his opinion with assurance that “no shots” had been thrown and that “facts are facts,” Jay spoke his piece and went on to say that he wants Kendrick’s TDE labelmate Ab-Sould to sign with Roc Nation.

Speaking on the “Control” verse to VIBE last year, Jay Electronica said that Kendrick’s verse was a good contribution to hip-hop.

“It’s a good thing; it’s a good thing for hip-hop music because hip-hop has been lying dormant for a long time,” he said. “Peace to the young gods, Kendrick Lamar, TDE, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Joey Bada$$; peace to the young gods.”
