Following LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s alleged racist rant, the team staged a silent protest before taking on the Golden State Warriors today (Apr. 27). In a show of solidarity, Chris Paul and company removed their jackets, dropping them at center court, to reveal that their team shirts were being worn inside-out during warmups. Also wearing black socks and armbands, the team opted for their blue jerseys that read “Los Angeles” rather than uniforms with the Clippers logo. Coach Doc Rivers confirmed yesterday that the team would still be fighting for the championship it wants.
“Our message is that we’re going to let no one and nothing stop us from what we want to do,” he said. “And I think that’s a good message. I really do. I think that’s the message we’re trying to send. And if we can pull this off all the way, I think that would be a terrific message.”

Perhaps having to do with the controversy, the Clippers trailed the Warriors by halftime, with a score of 66-48. The team will reportedly address Sterling’s alleged comments again in Los Angeles for Game 5:

While Donald Sterling was not in attendance at the game, his wife Rochelle Stein was still present courtside.
