Soul Clap Records artists, Juice Belushi (aka James Trocano and Paul Foley), pay tribute to their favorite Boston boys of R&B circa the ’80, New Edition.
The ‘Almighty New Edition’ mix features 23 tunes spawning classic from New Edition members’ solo cuts such as Bel Biv Devoe, Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and, of course, many joints from the group as a whole.
The tribute mix is in support of the latest ‘Dancing On The Charles’ compilation from Soul Clap, coming on May 26. “When we started throwing our Dancing On The Charles parties next to Boston’s most famous river back in 2008 we had no idea it would become the inspiration for a now annual music compilation showcasing the immense talent of Boston’s electronic music producers. In fact we had no idea we’d ever even have our own record label! Yet, here we are in 2014 proudly presenting the second edition of DOTC.
