Malcolm X is hip hop’s martyr.
Martin Luther King Jr., is held in high regard, but it’s Malcolm’s revolutionary thinking that many rappers can relate to. With his radical approach to the civil rights movement translating to what’s currently occurring in America, it’s not uncommon to hear his name dropped on a few rap tracks. Today marks what would have been his 89th birthday, so it’s only right to look back on the tracks featuring the leader’s iconic name.
