What You Should Be Doing This Weekend: ‘X-Men,’ Kimye, Mariah Carey & More

This Memorial Day weekend gives most of us an extra day to turn up and catch up. In between cleaning off those grills for the season’s first barbeque-worthy holiday, here’s what else can help fill up your days. From new movie releases, to album streams to the latest music, here’s What You Should Be Doing This Weekend –Iyana Robertson

1. Going to see X-Men: Days Of Future’s Past
Generally speaking, when a new X-Men movie drops, you go see it. But if you weren’t privy this unspoken rule, the plot gathers all of the X-Men from the previous films – which should be reason enough to catch it this weekend.

2. Fighting with the replay button on Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pills N Potions’
Nicki Minaj gave us a new single this week, and it was a pleasant surprise. After sticking to a pretty rap-heavy script for some time now, Nick dropped off a half-pop, half-rap love song with “Pill N Potions.” Don’t be disappointed however; it’s pretty addictive.

3. Gathering details from Kim and Kanye’s wedding
Kim and Kanye were officially wed today, and the Internet will supply details all weekend. Keep your eyes peeled for who was there, what they wore, and how massive the whole thing was. You know you want to.

4. Watching the NBA Conference Finals
Has the Heat met their match with the Pacers, or can they go one-up in the East for a shot at the Larry O’Brien? And can Kevin Durant and the Thunder rebound from the beatings the Spurs have been putting on them? Only one way to find out.

5. Stream Mariah Carey’s Mariah Carey, Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse
Mimi is back with her 14th studio album, Mariah Carey, Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse, and you can get a taste of the album before it drops on iTunes for free. Keywords here: “Mariah” and “free.” You’re welcome.

6. Relive the ‘90s and watch the first episode of Girl Meets World
Don’t front like you didn’t bang with Corey and Topanga. Well, now they’re all grown up with two kids (yes, for real). Watch the first episode of the Boy Meets World spinoff, Girl Meets World. Again, you know you want to.

7. Snag tix to this year’s Made In America festival
The Los Angeles and Philadelphia lineups for this year’s double-dose of the Jay Z-curated Made In America festival. With John Mayer headlining on the West, and Kanye West headlining on the East, now might be a good time to cash out on you guaranteed attendance.

8. Watch Lil TeRio’s ‘Oooh Killem’ video
Just do it for the Vine.

9. Sign the petition to make Jay Z and Beyonce’s ‘RUN’ a feature film
Unless you’ve been under a rock all week, you’ve peeped Jay Z and Beyonce’s “On The Run” tour trailer, RUN. Well now, there is a petition begging the couple to turn the 4-minute clip into a real-life movie. That would be pretty dope, wouldn’t it?
